MEETING OF February 12, 2008
Photos do not necessarily match descriptions.

Deborah Kilmartin was the first to arrive and was the first time for her to attend. She's lucky to have a husband who works for the OECD because she's fallen in love with Paris after three years here, agreeing that it's so difficult to go back!

Arnold Hogarth, another newcomer, retired from San Diego, came to Paris for a 2-month vacation and is already thinking about his next and possibly longer stay. He's an avid long-distance runner, seeing all of Paris through his jaunts all over town.

Paul and Paris Tannish, were back again. Paris was a bit foggy from hours online working on her Ebay antique business! Paul is a teacher of music.

Regulars Alan and Jill Schrift, came with two of Jill's latest pastel drawings of the Luxembourg Gardens -- beautiful representations! And Alan is working on an 8-volume anthology on the history of continental philosophy, lecturing this month at the American Church of Paris and the Ecole Normale Supérieur.

Ralph Moorhouse was back, carrying a new printer he had just purchased from Darty. He is here enjoying his new Montmartre apartment, soon to join the roster on Parler Paris Apartments.

Trevor Williams, a professor of English Literature in Victoria, Canada, says he here in Paris "doing grandfather impressions" (to see his new grandchild) and to attend the St. David's Day banquet. Welsh, right?

Edward Hines came to Paris for romance, but is now running a business helping people develop their intelligence and curiosity for health, fun and abundance...NLP!

Carolyn Johnson hadn't been for a long time, but was back now that her tenure is coming to an end. She's looking for some new professional outlets and lives in Louviers, Normandy -- the same town where Susan Herrmann Loomis, the chef, lives and cooks and writes.

Philippe Letouzey came looking for activities in the tourism industry for part fun, part profit.

Eva Lee Lichtenberg is back in Paris again. The Tranquility, New Jersey attorney has become totally addicted and we're not complaining!

Bonnie Loren, an actress, producer, singer, who adores Paris, is working on a film and would like to set up a branch of her theater here. She needs help finding someone who might consider guaranteeing a loan on a solidly-backed mortgage for a commercial space. She showed off the trailer of her latest film on her I-Phone and then she and our Mortgage Manager, John Rule, made a valuable connection!

Award-wining author and teacher, Kathleen Spivak, came a long way to say hello, bringing warm gloves for me to take to New York next week as a gift. She has several workshops coming up here in Paris you may want to know about. Email her for more information at kspivack@earthlink.net

And stopping in on time this time, without her best friend, Eve (black Labrador), was Patricia Laplante Collins of Paris Soirées.
