MEETING
OF MARCH 8, 2005
(Photos do not necessarily match descriptions.)
Regulars
Larry Frame, Patricia Laplante-Collins and Dale
Novick Gaber braved the demonstrations on boulevard Beaumarchais
to come have a coffee with us.
Robert
Larrea was back with a new goatee and is in the midst of designing
Les Douze Mille Vierges by Appolinaire while looking to form a theater
group to do plays in French and English.
Alanea
Kowalksi, an Executive Coach, told us about her sweet studio
apartment not far away that the owner wants to sell -- It's a deal for
someone who wants a turn-key rental apartment in the Marais.
"Calendar
Gal" Nancy Szczepanski (I
call
her "Nancy Paski") chatted with newly acquainanced Patricia
Mullenax, an opera singer from New York hoping to move to Paris
in the fall.
Kathryn
Hayashi brought a friend after enjoying her visit last month
so much -- Milkica Stojkovic, a resident of Paris for
the last eight years and currently looking for a job.
We hadn't
seen Christiane Viethel for
a
while -- but she's back after a long illness to practice her English
and enjoy living in Paris rather than in the suburbs. Jacques
Derhy, a Frenchman returning to Paris after 15 years in Canada
and Florida is happy to be back, too.
Bernard
John was one of the first to arrive -- he's here for six weeks
with a plan to move later this year and possibly to buy an apartment.
Katherin Converse was one of the last to arrive
--
lost and stuck in the mess on the streets, has been a tour leader here
for 15 years and is trying to decide where to plant her feet for a while.
